New 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline for LGBTQI+ Teens

If you’re ever feeling down, stressed, or just need someone to talk to, there’s an awesome new resource just for you. The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline has added special services for LGBTQI+ teens and young adults. Here’s how you can reach out:

  1. Text “PRIDE” to 988 – You’ll connect directly with a counselor who understands what you’re going through.
  2. Call 988 and choose option 3 – Speak with a supportive LGBTQI+ counselor.
  3. Visit 988lifeline.org and mention LGBTQI+ in the pre-chat survey to chat with a counselor.

These services are available 24/7, so no matter when you need help, someone will be there for you. Plus, SAMHSA has some great social media posts you can share to spread the word about these new services.

Remember, you’re not alone, and there’s always someone ready to listen and help.
